Quality Controller

Job Summary

Conduct Quality Control testing at various stages (i.e. raw materials and finished goods) and report results to the Quality Control Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare test samples of materials used in production.
• Conduct physical and chemical tests of raw materials and finished product samples, to ensure conformance to the established specifications.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative tests by recording and computing relevant data.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and order replacement parts, where necessary.
• Order testing consumables; such as chemicals and solvents as required.
• Maintain a sound working knowledge and awareness of safety regulations, ISO requirements and operating procedures within the laboratory environment.
• Perform regular laboratory maintenance tasks to include but not limited to; organizing and cleaning of work areas, disposal of product samples, chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Ensure the waste disposal is conducted efficiently and promptly.
• Conduct equipment calibration.
• Collect results and prepare periodic and final testing reports for review by the Quality Control Manager.

• College Diploma in Chemical Science
• 4 years experience in industrial and chemical labs.
